Flight Path

The flight path tries to follow as faithfully as possible the original flight plan of 1923. The only difference is in the number of stopovers. Because of present day regulations, the route is divided into six phases. The list of visited airfields follows.

• Ober - Mörlen, EDFP
• Bad Neuenahr - Ahrweiler, EDRA
• Kiewit (Zonhoven), EBZH
• Brusel - Grimbergen, EBGB

Dates

In the face of the fact that flying planes built in the 1920’s can be quite a demanding sporting activity, that is considerably influenced by the whims of weather and wind (Dr. Lhota’s return flight in 1923 took considerably more time the he imagined because of weather conditions), we have planned our flight with ample reserve time, so our arrival in Brussels would be on July 29. Our departure from Prague-Letnany will be Saturday, July 26.
